From the moment you enter Habersham via the town’s central marketplace, you’re encountering the amenities that help set this community apart from most. Our “Main Street” is where you’ll find the local firehouse and Post Office along with the shops and restaurants that are within walking distance of the residences. Nearby Habersham Park, the town’s largest, features a beautifully landscaped tennis facility along with a Park House, playgrounds, picnic areas, lighted fitness trail, our community gardens and even a doggie park. Some of Habersham’s most alluring features are on the small sea islands located near the southeastern point of the property where Habersham Creek meets the Broad River. The neighborhood swimming pool, sunset tower, river retreat pavilion and deep-water dock are located on these islands and are connected by nature trails. Footbridges allow residents to explore the natural environment and waterfront park spaces throughout the 300 acre development.
Habersham encourages active living and the enjoyment of being outdoors nearly all year round. With an array of activities, residents find opportunities to build relationships within the community as they stroll along quiet, oak-lined streets, scenic walking trails, footbridges and waterfront parks. Everyday activities such as checking your mail at the Habersham Post Office or walking your dog can lead to friendly conversations from the front porch or at the Marketplace.
Traditional neighborhood celebrations and holiday gatherings, along with special events, help bring residents and families together each year. There are also thousands of visitors that come to Habersham every year for Marketplace events like the Beaufort Twilight Run, the Bottles and Barrels Event and our annual Habersham Harvest Festival. More informal gatherings like homeowner cookouts and block parties accompany neighborhood-wide events such as the July 4th Parade or the Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch ensure there’s a full calendar of events for all ages.
