Habersham Porch Parties

Greetings from the Habersham Social Committee. We are excited to announce that PORCH PARTIES ARE BACK! The first party of the season will be held June 17th, 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm.

This popular event is a fun and easy way for Habersham residents to reconnect with friends and make new ones, sharing simple food and conversation on the many beautiful porches. Interested hosts should contact Dorothy Peppard at storygirl@comcast.net by May 15th. Please remember to include your contact information, address and the number of guests you wish to host.

For those of you who who have not participated before, here's how it works:

First, the Social Committee requests residents who would like to host a group of randomly selected neighbors for appetizers and beverages at their homes. If you wish to host, please email Dorothy Peppard at storygirl@comcast.net, including your contact information, address and the number of guests you are able to accommodate.

Once we have the total of hosts/available guest spots, an invitation for residents to attend will be posted on Nextdoor and also emailed via our master list.

Guests are randomly assigned to host homes and each host will receive a guest list in order for the host to communicate directly with the guests.

Your guests will each bring an appetizer AND beverage. You may wish to offer suggestions to your guests to compliment the theme of Caribbean Cocktails and Canapés.

Hosts will provide glassware and serve ware, and may also prepare an appetizer and beverage of their choice.

On June 17, the Porch Party will begin at 3 pm - 4 pm at the Park House with a signature Caribbean cocktail, both alcoholic and none-alcoholic. At 4 pm, hosts and guests will go home to prepare for the Porch Party. Guests should arrive at host homes at 4:30 pm.
